ProEd’s Career Assessment Program (CAP) is the most comprehensive career counseling program for students from grade 9 to 12. It is a scientifically designed and approved career guidance program that helps students to decide right stream, course and career selection in accordance with their personality and abilities.
CAP is a combination of scientifically developed career counseling test and personalized students counseling by experts. It measures inherent aptitude and unique personality of students through a psychometric, created by psychologists and customized for the UAE with the input of counselors in Dubai. This is an ideal tool to identify the students’ strengths. It assists them in selecting the right career by matching their abilities, career preference areas and personality traits.
Students opting for this program take the CAP test, receive a personalized and detailed report card followed by a meeting with one of our education consultants, either for a brief overview or extensive career analysis about how to study abroad or locally.
CAP Test
A form of Psychometric assessment, the CAP Test is a standard scientific method used to measure ability, skills and personality traits of an individual and assist them in opting for the right career path. The duration of online psychometric test is 1 hour 7 minutes. The test includes:
Personality Test
Personality plays a vital role in choosing the right career. This test measures the natural behavior of students in different situations.
Aptitude Test
Aptitude is a person’s ability to perform different tasks naturally. It is crucial to identify what a student is good at vis-a-vis what he thinks he is good at.
Career Interest Test
Students are asked to select the career options in which they are interested and which they would like to pursue. We then map the career fields of interest to their personality and aptitude.

Report Card
After submitting the test, students receive a detailed graphical report card explaining different attributes and traits of their personality and aptitude.

Relevance of CAP
ProEd’s CAP is relevant for students as well as parents. Most of us are unaware of our inherent potential that leads to confusion while deciding a stream, course or career. Many parents also have a traditional view of careers after 12th/13th. They too are generally drawn towards careers which are assumed to be more fruitful and admired. As a result, an unfit course selection puts students in a precarious situation and they barely manage to cope with it. This is detrimental to their confidence and their ability to excel in that field. The stress, which both the student and the parents face, becomes an inevitable result of this unfortunate selection.
